How to do second install :

I know a lot of people are asking their selves how to make a clean second install.
Well for starters erase sh2 or dc from your pc. And if you can, do a registry clean ( use the regcleaner from junio Vuorio 4.3)

After that is done you can start to install the games
SILENT HUNTER2:


Install the game, full version. Put the 1.1 patch on it from ubi. http://support.ubi.com/Patches/?sort=s

Go to c-drive and create a new folder in program files with the name SH11.
Now Aprk your SSI folder and copy/paste it in to that new folder renamed folder.

On your desktop there will be an icon of your first install, throw it away.

Download the pm patch (http://www.3dgamers.com/dl/games/silenthunter2/Thirdparty/pm103install_eng.exe.html)
And put it on your sh2 game. The pm patch is self extracting and it will choose the SSI folder.

Go to your SSI folder open it to the shell folder. Open it and you will see 3 sub-icons, copy the icon with the name SH2 to your desktop.
Go to your desktop and rename the icon into SHPM (indicating your pm version)

Go to your SH11 folder and go also to the shell folder, and put also from there the SH2 icon to your desktop and rename it into SH11 (indicating your 1.1 version)

NOTE: Members of the DSK-clan be sure when you extract the maps tool   that they are placed in your 1.1 version and not in your pm version !!!!!!

DESTROYER COMMAND :

Install the game, put the 1.1 patch from ubi on it. http://support.ubi.com/Patches/?sort=d .

Install, if you wish, the sonar-mod. (not the sonar-mod from Bear, it will give a  janus error after the second install. Ask Qu-8 the sonar-mod  and put it in the folder you named DC11

Then you may put the PM patch on it

The rest is completely the same as the installs for SH

It is better to download the patches on your desktop and install them from there rather than install them directly from the net.
