Dear Qu-Member,
What do you have to do when you meet someone who wants to become a Qu-member ...
The rules for the new members:
- Every Aspirant must start 6 missions (trials), before he will become a Qu-member.
- Every Qu-member may propose a newcomer (Aspirant).
- Only Qu-members who sailed 10 missions with other Qu-members may monitor a new Aspirant. From that moment on the Qu-member may fill in the BATREP of that trial-mission and send it to second commander and Qu-8. Otherwise, the mission will not count as a trial for the aspirant.
- An Aspirant is always proposed to the Staff (Executive)-Commanders (Qu-8, second commander, Qu-3 and Qu-U). Any Qu-Captain can make an objection to the admission of an Aspirant. At the end the Staff-commanders, will decide to accept or reject an Aspirant. They have a veto-right..
- During the trials, notes will be kept about the sunken tonnage and the survival rate. This to see if he/she is a good sub or a beginner (all are welcome).
- A trail counts if there is at least one official Qu-member (= member who did more then 10 missions as Qu-member) in the mission present. He will decide if it's a legal trial or not, and will inform the Aspirant.
- The Aspirant will make an announcement to the Qu-member at the beginning of the mission that he's an Aspirant. The Qu-captain will take notes of the tonnage and the outcome of the mission, and send that to the Fleet-commander (Qu-8) or his 2nd Commander .
- There won't be accepted new members during the summer stop (July-October). Aspirants will have to wait until the start of the new season to become a member.
If there are any questions, don't hesitate, we will answer.
The pre-condition of success is, in addition to an aggressive spirit, a capacity for making quick decisions, initiative, tenacious endurance, and unfailing skill!"
